The Cube
The challenge
Our client approached us for ideas and support to reward their employees with a memorable, energising day out. The goal was to create a fun and engaging experience where teams could relax, bond, and feel appreciated. The event needed to be centrally located in London, include a team activity, and offer great food and drink throughout the day. Key was to make the event fun and inclusive and ensure a feeling of reward and recognition.
The solution
We proposed The Cube at Canary Wharf, an exciting, interactive venue known for its immersive game-show-style challenges – perfect for team bonding and high-energy fun. A full buy out of the venue allowed us to customise the game and experience tailoring to the required team sizes and timings.
To keep the momentum going throughout the event, we brought in a professional host to lead the day. The host helped set the tone with humour and enthusiasm, ensuring everyone felt involved from start to finish. In addition to the main activity, we organised a raffle giveaway, adding an extra layer of excitement. Prizes included top-tier items such as wireless headphones and experience days, which added a premium feel to the event and gave guests something extra to look forward to. High-quality catering was provided throughout, keeping energy levels high and taste buds happy.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many guests highlighting the day as one of the most enjoyable team events they’d attended.
Making a splash while cruising the Thames
The brief
After a transformational year for the business, WeWork wanted to plan a client Christmas party celebration for their top brokers. Our brief was to make sure it was the party of the year, and to ensure it aligned with the brand’s image.
The details
The party was held on a luxury yacht, the Silver Sturgeon, the ideal venue offering something different with an element of luxury, set against an iconic backdrop. To compliment the venue, we came up with an “into the woods” theme for the perfect mix of Christmas magic allowing some quirky, sexy elements to align with the brand’s personality.
Flambeaux lanterns lit up the gates to the pier, and guests were directed down the blue carpet where golden fire horned creatures performed creating an impact from arrival. As guests entered, a snow queen welcomed them into the reception, where champagne and canapes were served by fairy living tables. A celebrity fortune teller mingled whilst an LED violinist wowed guests. Then while guests dined, glitter artists roamed and a circus show ramped up the party atmosphere, ready for the star of the night, Trevor Nelson, who hit the decks opening the dancefloor.
The event was actioned packed and impactful at every stage. Being bold and memorable was the objective and this was certainly what we delivered.
Thanks so much for an amazing event – the feedback both internally and externally has been phenomenal! One broker described it as the best event of the year by a mile.
Beyond the Frame
The challenge
Our consultant client wanted to celebrate its 20th anniversary with an event that went beyond the traditional. The aim was to create a landmark celebration that not only honoured the company’s two-decade legacy but also reflected its innovative spirit. SEVEN, in partnership with the clients in-house teams, was tasked with developing the strategy, guest experience, and logistics for this milestone event.
The solution
A critical decision was the selection of the perfect venue. SEVEN recommended Frameless London, recognising its unique potential to align with the clients brand image. The venue was selected for a number of key factors, including its ability to provide an immersive and sensory experience with its digital art galleries, which guests could actively engage with. Its modern, forward-thinking aesthetic perfectly complemented the brand. Furthermore, its central London location ensured accessibility for a key guest list of clients and stakeholders.
To complete the experience, showstopping catering with stunning canapés that were dressed and served to complement the artistic environment. This meticulous attention to detail ensured that every element, from the visual displays to the culinary offerings, contributed to a cohesive and unforgettable evening. SEVEN’s production expertise then ensured a seamless execution, transforming the venue into a bespoke, celebratory space that guided guests through the immersive exhibit.
The result
The 20th-anniversary celebration at Frameless was a resounding success, delivering an unforgettable experience that reinforced our clients brand as a leader in its field. The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees and successfully positioning them for the next two decades of growth.
A HUGE thank you!!!! It has been lovely working with SEVEN, you have truly made my job seamless in the planning of this event, and I can’t express how grateful I am. I already knew going into the evening that all would go as planned, and I have you to thank for that. You have done an exceptional job, and it was reflected in the success of the event.
Bringing Florida sunshine to London
The brief
As part of TravelUp’s new “Up Yours” campaign”, TravelUp approached SEVEN to curate a brand activation experience in which passers-by at a major London train station could “Visit Florida” for a few minutes. The client wanted to create an immersive experience which would let London commuters escape the winter for the beaches of Florida.
The details
SEVEN sourced the location of the main concourse at Waterloo station and produced an immersive installation to gain brand exposure for both TravelUp and Visit Florida. The installation centralised around a VR experience in which guests could gain knowledge and insight into Florida as a destination by taking a journey through the highlights of the destination. The installation replicated a Florida beach scene by utilising canvas wrap and vinyl flooring with mounted heaters to bring the heat to London.
We are extremely happy with how everything went. We can’t fault the execution of the design and build and your professional organisation of the whole event.
Turn what if into why not
The brief
Our client was looking to source a new creative events agency to help deliver the creative elements of a hackathon event at their selected venue of Sopwell House. The challenge to SEVEN was to transform the hotel event space into an immersive workspace for eight teams of hackers for a week-long event.
The details
Our concept was centred around the event objective, which was innovation with hackers solving business problems that would ensure business change and growth. Working with the brand team we created an event identity “turning what if, into why not”; an inspirational message that we applied as a philosophy for each element of the event journey.
With the client having booked a very conference-focused hotel, we had to totally re-imagine the space. Our vision was to create a Silicon Valley inspired workspace and to achieve this we built new bespoke branded walls, recarpeted spaces and designed a 5ft neon lighting installation. We created eight hacking areas for the teams who would be working around the clock. We ensured design and functionality came together seamlessly to both deliver brand impact, while driving ROI, by creating the most positive workspaces allowing creativity and productivity.
We utilised a range of the latest technology to enhance and inspire the tasks the teams had been set, including providing each team with their very own personalised surface hub to enable collaborative and efficient working.
Alongside the creative concepting and production design, SEVEN devised a program of fun energiser activities and foodie breaks to encourage time away from screens. These included barista coffee, mobile massages, retro games, pizza night and wine tasting. Each of these experiences was focused on fun or wellbeing to further boost productivity while ensuring the teams felt rewarded and had the space away from hacking to reenergise and boost creativity.
A quick note to say a very big thank you for your magic over these past few months. These last two weeks were such a special moment for our business, and you really helped us realise our ‘elevated vision’ for how we make innovation in our business a tangible experience for our colleagues. From the lighting, room dressing, activities, food to the theatre of our presentation, detail matters and we really made something amazing together. Our leaders, hackers and teams are still buzzing from it all!
Built With Personality
The brief
We have worked with BW on their flag ship client party event for many years. Each year we must up the game to ensure the event keeps it’s legendary status within the industry. The event shouldn’t be a traditional contractional cocktail party – it should stand out from the crowd and align with the brand narrative.
The details
We secured the Light Bar, a privately owned bar and event space in centre of Shoreditch. The space is vast and unique, set in an old Victorian Power station built in 1893, the venue has beautifully restored original features with modern finishings. A quirky blank canvas backdrop that we could style bespoke for our client.
We created an event concept theme around our client’s slogan “built with personality” bringing in a large LED screen centre piece to bring the concept to life through video and imagery. With the custom production design we were able to transform the space mid party from the client’s classic theme of black and white, to a colourful showcase of vibrant personality with dancing disco balls, personality trait cocktails and performances from beats boutique
Thank you so much to SEVEN for your help. As always It wouldn’t have been the same without you! Your behind the scenes control was impressive, as was your unflappable, friendly and caring attitude. We’ve had cracking feedback from our guests, and look forward to working with you on the next one!
