A bigger bolder brighter future
The brief
An event we deliver yearly for Telefónica Tech, which having undergone massive change though growth and acquisitions in 2023 were faced with bringing together new colleagues under a single banner for the 2024 January event. We were asked to ‘Make it bigger, bolder, brighter’ to deliver the perfect kick-start to another phenomenal year. We more than met the challenge.

The details
Working closely with the in-house event, brand and communications teams SEVEN developed the ‘Transforming Together’ event strategy, visual creative direction and content plan.

With the significant growth of the event and the inclusion of partner exhibitions there was a desire to reflect this in venue choice. Selected the Elizabeth Hall on the Southbank for its location, and architectural appeal and auditorium which complimented the event messaging and focus for the event
Taking place over a full event day our 500 guests. The attendees had breakfast prior to the opening sessions, Partner exhibition & lunch. The afternoon session was in the main auditorium and then an evening drinks reception with views of the Thames.

SEVEN managed the content on the impressive and bespoke 8m screen. Responsible for the opening video moments, content management tracking our team of graphic designers, project managers and technical support teams.
With a new focus on the event delivery on stage we arranged for the for Telefónica Tech presenters, to feel confident with the increased audience though rehearsals off-site and on-site with an uplift in presentation technology.

“Hi Team, We made it to the end of the week, and wow, what a week it has been! I couldn’t let it finish without sending you a message to thank you for the huge efforts from each and every one of you, and the rest of the team, to pull off the most incredible Kick Off event it was “the best event we have ever staged.”
Ever evolving, always discovering
The brief
After taking part in a rigorous tender process, we were appointed by Sophos to manage the end-to-end delivery of their UKI Partner Conference which was to be hosted in the city of Manchester for 450 people. This annual event brings together Sophos customers and prospects for a two day event, aiming to deliver both networking opportunities and education on products.

The details
The initial steps were to source an impactful venue for the two-day conference which had adequate branding opportunities and enough space for the main plenary, 4 breakouts and a large space for catering and networking. Victoria Warehouse was selected which is a unique blank canvas venue with an industrial feel.

SEVEN transformed the entire space to reflect the “evolve” theming with an advanced audio-visual build which featured branding throughout the entire venue, plenary space stage design and execution, and an exhibition, breakouts and networking area build. For attendee logistics, SEVEN arranged for guests to be split across the four hotels based on client category and exec level.

The event kicked off with an opening session at the Victoria Warehouse, before guests headed off to the Imperial War Museum for the welcome reception. This was then followed by a full day conference and party, where the plenary space was transformed complete with a laser quest dome, LED ping pong, street food, cocktail bar and a showstopping LED drummers’ performance.

I honestly think that was the best UKI event I’ve been to in my 6 years here. Outstanding work by the event team, great speaker and the venue, while I must confess I was nervous about the logistics of such a large event, it turned out to be brilliant. Great job everybody!
Engage, motivate, inspire and connect
The brief
EXA wanted to put together a summit for their 43 person leadership team. Many had worked together for years but never connected other than a nod to one another in the office. They wanted SEVEN to help engage, motivate, inspire and connect the leadership team so they could be an example to the rest of the company.

The details
SEVEN knew a dynamic and engaging programme was required to meet all the client’s needs. Plenty of options to connect and chat on a deeper level with one another, whilst keeping content to the point. As the event ran over two evenings SEVEN also needed to incorporate two dinners. One held in the hotel’s grand hall, whilst the other at a local pub offering a more relaxed, friendly environment for guests to relax, unwind and connect with other leadership colleagues.

As well as content and dinners, SEVEN also helped with some fun activities to break up the meetings. Working together, the leadership team each had a section of a wider picture to create before putting it together to have one masterpiece. This was a fun activity that involved all members of the team, working collaboratively to create an end product.

This was a fantastic event, the activities chosen were great as it gave me an opportunity to meet and chat to the people I’ve worked it for a year but not met and collaborate with them. I feel I learned more about the direction of the business and was engaged more than I would have been if it was slide/presenter heavy. I look forward to the next event.
A legendary setting for a 20-year celebration
The brief
The annual company offsite is a headline event for Capco, with the purpose to align all areas of the business with updates in strategy and achievements. Being a consultancy company, these events have such a pivotal role in ensuring all employees feel connected and rewarded. As it was Capco’s 20-year anniversary they wanted to take this event to the next level and tasked SEVEN with making sure it was a real celebration, focusing on achievements but also looking ahead and cementing the goals of the business going forward.

The details
SEVEN secured Roundhouse, the perfect venue for putting Capco on stage headlining their own special event in such an iconic and legendary space. Production design was crucial for this event, as with detailed content to be shared we wanted to ensure visual impact and good sight lines for all 900 guests. So, we designed a unique set with a central curved stage with large LED screen at the centre, and two flown screens centring in the pillared domed space. Simple but effective, and not taking away from the venue’s impressive aesthetic.

The event content was shaped around the evolution of the business looking back at how far Capco had come and then looking ahead, with nods in the opening of the conference to popular culture references from the year of foundation and then fast forwarding to the present day with the concluding remarks.

Then while guests enjoyed reception drinks on the mezzanine, SEVEN transformed the space and revealed Capco’s very own gig night, complete with a full street food market and a headline performance. After an LED drummer opening act the headline, Park Hotel, an emerging new band, took to the main stage with the backdrop of an LED projection mapped ‘20’ installation as the highlight of the iconic celebration.

This was a successful event that really hit our brief of a special celebration. It was perfect space to deliver both conference and party and what a great transformation with the production and all the surprises that really elevated this year’s event.
