21 Dec The Nutcracker
On Wednesday evening I went to see an exclusive private screening of ‘The Nutcracker’ at the May Fair Hotel which was in partnership with Hamleys toy store. It’s the story of a young girls enchanted present which leads her on a wonderful adventure.
The entire evening was lovely – We were welcomed with a champagne canapé reception before heading into the private cinema located within the hotel. The screening was live from the Royal Opera house and it was a great way to see the show. I have seen this performance on stage before but it was just as good watching it on the screen as you really got to see the performance up close.
This ballet is such a festive show as it really emphasises the spirit of Christmas with the incredibly large tree on set and the snow that falls throughout the performance. It’s a show that really appeals to people of all different ages as it’s so colourful and energetic – Some of the music is recognisable amongst many too. As a fan of the ballet, I would definitely recommend seeing this show this Christmas.
