28 Jul EVCOM Summer Party
On Friday night our working week wasn’t yet over as we attended the EVCOM Summer Party which was held at the very trendy Waterloo Studios.
This is the first summer party for the newly created EVCOM since the two highly successful associations, Eventia and IVCA, merged Eventia represented the live event world and IVCA the visual communication sector. Their aim is to bring the two worlds together with members comprising of industry professionals, agencies, freelancers, destinations, production companies and suppliers. The party spilled out onto the streets of Southwark whilst we all basked in the late evening London sunshine sipping a drink and eating delicious street food inspired canapés.
We personally chatted to EVCOM CEO Marco Forgione, whose enthusiasm for his role at this newly formed industry body was catching. He says that the aim of EVCOM is to “make people more successful” and plans to do this by bringing us all together in as many interesting ways as possible. A great deal of focus currently is on promoting the upcoming SUMMER EVCOM which is being held in association with Olympia. This inaugural event is going to be packed full of educational and collaborative content giving its members a chance, not only to network, but really find out what EVCOM is all about and how it’s going to help us all be more successful.
We’ll keep you up to date with what we learn.
