Dubai has proved a popular destination for our clients this year with the next event held in just a couple of weeks’ time at the Madinat Jumeirah property. Thankfully the expansion of the hotel won’t affect our group but the planned work is exciting for this already vast resort.
Phase 4 of the work is being constructed next to the Burj Al Arab and is costing Dh2.5 billion. With expected completion in October of this year the new Fort Island property is anticipated to be the largest hotel event space in the UAE, with a capacity of up to 1400 people and will increase the Madinat Jumeirah’s conference centres overall capacity to 9,000 people.
Fort Island will be connected to Madinat Jumeirah by four bridges and the resort also plans to launch Jumeirah Al Naseem, a 430 bedroom hotel that is set to open in 2016. It’s exciting times for this property and I’m sure many more groups to come with enjoy everything that Madinat Jumeirah has to offer over the upcoming months.
